After about 5 months of paperwork, blood testing and examinations, we managed to export 5 Dorset Down Ewe Lambs and a Dorset Down Ram Lamb to France on the 16th of December. They have gone to the Loire region and will help strengthen the gene pool of the Dorset Down Sheep in France.
Travelling in first class luxury on a specially chartered lorry just for the 6 of them, they had a 14hr journey from our farm to their new home in the Loire. They were received with great joy by their new owner, who had only seen them in photographs until they arrived on her doorstep!
